Payments were made under each of the collection services in the following amounts: Australian Educational - $3,604,986.57 Managing Director of Goalpost Pictures Ben Grant said his company was delighted with the payments they received for the children’s television series Lockie Leonard. “Screenrights was fantastic in keeping us informed of the timing of these payments but more importantly explained the steps necessary for us to resolve a number of multiple claims in relation to these payments,” he said. “In one of these cases, the resulting payment was one of our biggest Screenrights returns to date.” Payments of the 2004 Australian and New Zealand educational royalties also expired on 30 June, with only 0.36% of each pool remaining. This is an excellent result, and well below the company target of 3%. Under its Articles of Association, Screenrights has six years in which to distribute the educational royalties it collects. After the expiration of this period, any undistributed money is rolled over into the next year’s distribution pool. |
