Copying television and radio
Television and radio can be an invaluable teaching tool in courses as diverse as health, hospitality, tourism, performing arts, visual arts and design, as well as English language courses (ELICOS).
Provisions in the Australian Copyright Act allow vocational and education training (VET) providers and ELICOS to copy from television and radio for educational purposes without having to obtain copyright clearances. These provisions apply once these educational institutions have taken out a licence from Screenrights.
Other educational institutions covered under the Screenrights licence
