Activity: An online, interactive portal providing educational resources to filmmakers, communities and individuals to create social impact and change.

Outcome: The DocAccess platform has been built with the support of the Cultural Fund and will launch in 2024. Its collection of resources will assist community members to host screenings of documentary films alongside learning modules targeted at upskilling the filmmaker community in key areas of film impact production. The DocAccess community screenings resources portal will be publicly available on the Documentary Australia website and is particularly targeted at building capacity of community members/ organisations located in rural and remote areas that would like to host their own community-based documentary screenings. “This platform will offer ongoing support to filmmakers across Australia by promoting and licencing their films more widely, offering an enormous social value to new audiences many of whom are located in rural, regional and remote areas… We are very proud and grateful to have the support of Screenrights through the cultural fund, to make this a reality.” – Dr Mitzi Goldman
