Role Summary

At Screenrights, we support a vibrant and sustainable screen industry.

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Full Stack) with the curiosity to learn and understand problems first before jumping to solutions, past experience that demonstrates product development and proficiency in writing clean and elegant code. You know what this means: DRY, SRP.

Key Accountabilities

  • You build it, you run it:  We need someone who has contributed significantly to multiple products and understands how to develop, test, deploy and maintain it fully.
  • Front-end development: Develop intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces that enhance user experience for both external and internal customers while ensuring design consistency
  • Backend services: Develop robust services that can be monitored. Add meaningful logs to help troubleshoot issues and crashes.
  • Database: Currently we are using DocumentDB and have plans to move to DynamoDB
  • Documentation: You understand the importance of documentation, not only is your code easy to understand, but your code comments also explain your technical choices. You have written Architectural Decision records and conducted incident post-mortems.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside highly skilled Engineers, Product, Design, and QA and be comfortable in asking questions to make sure that you understand what you are about to build.
  • Stay Humble: You understand the importance of this role as you bring features to life that the product is helping thousands of members get details about their claims and continue their creative journey.
