Copyright Agency CEO Adam Suckling has responded to a comment piece by Peter Martin in the Sunday Age.
Martin’s article inferred that Australian copyright law prevents people with print disabilities from accessing books, suggesting that the adoption of a US-style fair use system would change this.
Suckling responded, saying that Martin’s comments were misleading, and that fair use would not fix the problems Martin raised whilst also making it more difficult for content creators to derive an income from their craft.
