COVID-19, REMOTe Learning and the SCREENRIGHTS Educational Licence
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a shift in the way many of us work, and has had a significant impact on the education sector, with many schools, universities and other educational institutions required to teach online.
The Screenrights Educational Licence supports educators in distance learning, enabling the sharing of audio-visual material in online classes and recorded lectures. With a Screenrights licence, educational institutions in Australia and New Zealand can copy any program broadcast on TV or radio to use for educational purposes in the physical or virtual classroom, covering both in-person and remote learning.
Licensed online resource providers facilitate access to extensive libraries of educational material, copyright cleared, so teachers can share educational content directly with their students in a safe environment.
