Screenrights is sad to share the news of the loss of our former Board director Martin Armiger, who passed away in France on Wednesday 27 November.
Martin was a generous and valued member of the Screenrights Board from 1999 to 2011. Outside of his music performance career, Martin was known for screen composition work including The Secret Life of Us, Thank God He Met Lizzie, and Young Einstein. He was a former Head of Screen Music at AFTRS, recipient of the inaugural APRA / AGSC Distinguished Service to the Australian Screen Award in 2017, and had lately been running an artists’ retreat in the French countryside with his partner.
